Central Oasis

Conceptual Landscape Design of the Dongguan Central Park and Green Axis

More than just a central park, this project envisions a green cultural core for Dongguan’s future. Drawing from local identity and urban dynamism, the design links historic villages, rivers, and mountains along an 8km central axis. The proposal balances sponge city strategies, ecological corridors, and layered public spaces to foster both daily life and long-term resilience. With detailed node designs and thematic gardens, it frames Dongguan’s transformation within a rooted and inclusive landscape vision celebrating its immigrant history, natural systems, and cultural narratives.
